Background Multi Timer

for Android

Multiple interval timers running simultaneously—each with its own notification. They continue counting even when the app is closed and the screen is off. For work, study, and any long-running tasks.

HOW IT WORKS
A timer is a list of segments. Each has its own name and duration. The list repeats in a loop until you stop it. “Work 55:00 →
Break 05:00” or “Set 45s → Pause 15s”—it’s the same mechanism, with no upper limit on duration.

MULTIPLE TIMERS AT ONCE
Start as many timers as you need. Each one keeps its own count and displays its own notification showing the remaining time, the loop number, and pause and stop buttons. Notifications maintain a consistent order in the notification shade. Tapping a notification opens that specific timer.

COUNTS EVEN WHEN THE PHONE ISN’T IN YOUR HANDS
The background service continues to run even when the app is closed and the screen is off. The countdown is based on an exact timestamp rather than ticks: if the system freezes the process, upon the next wake-up, all missed segment boundaries are processed rather than lost. The timer doesn’t run away.
The state is preserved—if the system unloads the app from memory, the timer will resume right where it left off.

ALERTS YOU CAN HEAR
The sound is chosen from your device's ringtones, or — with the full version — from any audio file on your device. Еhe alert duration ranges from 1 to 60 seconds. The alert plays through the alarm channel, so it’s audible even in silent mode, and music is muted during this time rather than cut off. You can assign a custom sound to a specific segment. Vibration is optional.
If your phone is face down or you’re in another app, two additional alerts will help: a banner at the top of the screen and screen backlighting. Both are on by default and can be switched off per timer. They only trigger for segments of 10 minutes or longer— so that short intervals don’t cause the screen to flash every half-minute.

ENTERING THE DURATION LIKE ON A MICROWAVE
Numbers are entered from right to left, with seconds first. 130 is 1:30, 10000 is 1:00:00. Overflow is added together: 175 is read as “1 minute 75 seconds” and equals 2:15. No need to do any mental math.

EASY TO READ
The large, full-screen counter adjusts to the screen size, with the name of the current segment and the lap number displayed below it. The list of segments scrolls so that the next one is always visible.
Dark and light themes. A separate layout for landscape orientation, rather than a stretched vertical one. You can keep the screen
on.

WHO IT’S FOR
Interval training and breaks. Studying and exam prep. Cooking, where you need several timers at once. Production processes with
time-based intervals. Workouts and sets. Meditation and breathing exercises.

FREE AND PRO
**Free** Three timers, three segments in each. Every timer can run at the same time as the others — the background service, the notifications, the alerts, both themes and the landscape layout are all  free and always will be.
**Pro** — one-time purchase, no subscription. Unlimited timers and unlimited segments. A different sound for any individual segment. Any audio file on your device as a signal, not only the ringtones Android ships with.

* Going over the free allowance never deletes anything. A fourth timer stays where it is and becomes read-only until you unlock; a timer that already has more segments than the free tier allows keeps all of them and goes on running.

Your timers never leave your device. Nothing about you is collected, and there is no server of ours. The only thing the app sends is a question to Google Play: has the full version been bought?
